We purchased a new ceiling fan about a year ago. When my husband purchased it, he wanted to call his dad to come to help him install it. He wanted to make sure it was installed correctly and knew they could do it the right way.
Not long after installing the ceiling fan for the reading room, we started having problems with it making noise. It is so noisy that we can’t even use it any longer. It is very annoying. Although it keeps us cooled down, it’s noisy and we can’t stand to hear the sound of it.
I told my husband I thought he installed it perfectly since he was so determined to have his dad help him install it. I have said a lot of things about it to him. I wanted it installed the day we got it, but he was determined to wait till his dad could help. To be honest, I don’t think it mattered who installed it, it still would have made this noise.
My husband has tried to fix it repeatedly, with no luck. He has looked it up on Google to find out how to fix the noisy ceiling fan by yourself. We haven’t found a fix for it yet. It is still noisy and we still don’t use it except for the light. We are going to try to order a new fan to see if it does the same thing. Since we had to install it in drop ceiling fan we are thinking that could possibly be the noise problem.
Hopefully, we get a new one that isn’t noisy and works correctly. Maybe this time I can convince my husband to install it himself so he will know it doesn’t matter who does it, it still may not be installed the right way and still might make noise.
